Mars Saves Dogs Terms of Service​

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy agrees to provide pet sitting and other applicable pet care services in a reliable, caring, and trustworthy manner. In consideration of the services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives and releases Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy from any and all claims against Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy, except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy.

The client accepts responsibility for all medical expenses and other damages resulting from an injury to the Pet Carrier, other persons, or other animals caused by the client’s pet(s) or negligent act, unless caused through negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy.

The client agrees to notify Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy of any concerns within 24 hours of completion of services.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy shall exercise all precautions against sickness, injury, escape, loss, accidents, or death of the client’s pet(s). This may include the use of equipment owned by Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy on dog walks for the safety of both the Pet Carrier and the pet(s). Due to the extreme unpredictability of animals, Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy cannot be held responsible for any unusual mishaps (i.e., pet’s refusal to take medication, escaping from the yard, biting, eating or destroying household items, damage to inside/outside of home, personal injury/accidental death).

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time if the Pet Carrier, in his/her sole discretion, determines that the client’s pet(s) poses a danger to the health or safety of itself, other pets, other people, or the Pet Carrier. If concerns prohibit the Pet Carrier from caring for the pet, Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will attempt to contact the client to arrange alternative care. If the client cannot be contacted, the client authorizes Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy to place the pet in a licensed kennel with all charges and fees arising to be the responsibility of the client.

In the event of a personal emergency or illness affecting the Pet Carrier, the client will be promptly notified and the appointment will be rescheduled for a later time.
​
The client authorizes the use of pet(s) pictures on websites, social media, and/or marketing materials for promotional purposes.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy requires disclosure of all cameras inside of and surrounding the home. Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy expects reasonable privacy inside of the home and does not allow the use of cameras in bathrooms and spaces designated for the Pet Sitter to sleep.
​
The client authorizes this contract to be valid approval for services to permit Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy to accept all future in-person, telephone, online, mail, or email reservations and provide services without additional signed contracts or written authorizations.
​
The terms of this document apply to all pets owned by the client, including any and all new pets that the client obtains on or after the date this document was signed.

Services and Rates
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy provides the following services at the following rates unless otherwise agreed upon:
​
A. Virtual Evaluation: A one-time, free-of-charge meeting between Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy, the client, and the client’s pet(s) to identify the needs of the client and establish further services.
​
B. Dog Walking: Visits focused on dog walks lasting 15 minutes ($15), 30 minutes ($25), or 60 minutes ($45) in duration, with arrival between business hours of Monday-Friday 11 am-7 pm, and Saturday-Sunday 9 am-3 pm.
C. Dog Training: Sessions lasting 1 hour ($85 & up) in duration, with arrival between business hours of Monday-Friday 11 am-7 pm, and Saturday-Sunday 9 am-3 pm.

D. Pet Sitting: Individual visits lasting 1 hour ($19) in duration, with arrival between business hours of Monday-Friday 11 am-7 pm, and Saturday-Sunday 9 am-3 pm.
​
E. In-Home Boarding: 24 hours ($180) of pet care in which the Pet Sitter sleeps in the client’s home.
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy reserves the right to adjust thermostats to maintain a temperature comfortable for the Pet Sitter.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will provide updates as requested by the client within the business hours of Monday-Friday 11 am-7 pm, and Saturday-Sunday 9 am-3 pm.
​
The client agrees to notify Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy of their return home within 12 hours of arrival. In the event that the client fails to provide notification of arrival and does not respond to communications, Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will visit the home to ensure pet(s) are tended to, at an additional charge.
​
Payments and Cancellations
​
The client agrees to pay all charges accrued for services rendered. The client understands that payment is due at or prior to the time of the commencement of services unless explicitly agreed upon supplementary payment terms.
​
The client is responsible for supplying the necessary equipment and supplies needed for the care of their pet(s), including, but not limited to, a sturdy, well-fitting harness or collar and leash for walks or in case of emergencies, pet food, medications, identification tags, and cleaning supplies. The client authorizes any purchase necessary for the satisfactory performance of duties. Costs of all purchases and related service fees will be reimbursed to Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy within 7 days of the conclusion of service.
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will provide payment reminders on the following schedule for late payments: 24 hours after the conclusion of services, 5 calendar days after the conclusion of services, and 7 calendar days after the conclusion of services. The client will incur a flat fee of $25 if an outstanding balance is due after 7 calendar days.

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy accepts payment in the form of credit, debit, and PayPal.
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled visits for all dog services canceled with less than 24 hours notice. This cancellation fee is to be remitted within 7 calendar days of cancellation notice.

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy reserves the right to cancel or refuse future services in the event that due balances are not satisfied within the time allowances outlined in this agreement.
​
Home Access
​
This document gives Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy authorization to enter the client’s listed address as needed to perform agreed-upon services.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy requires a copy of keys to the home even when other means of entry are available. Keys may be kept in the possession of Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy or in a secure lockbox.
​
The client expressly gives Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy the authority to employ a locksmith on their behalf and to promptly reimburse Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy for all costs incurred in the event of a malfunction of the lock, keys, or automatic door opener.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy requires full disclosure of any other persons or companies with access to the home while providing pet care services. Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy shall not be held liable for any damages or loss incurred to your property or pets during the entirety of any pet sitting schedule, where persons or companies other than Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy have access to your home.

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy does not allow job sharing under the terms of this agreement unless explicitly agreed upon in writing prior to the beginning of service. This includes paid and unpaid care. In the event that job sharing is explicitly agreed upon in writing prior to the beginning of service, Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy requires that the client completes an additional Job Sharing Release. Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy cannot be held liable for any damages or discontinuities in care which occur as the result of a shared job.
In the event that additional caretakers cannot provide care as agreed to, Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will do everything possible to accommodate scheduling changes (at an additional fee) but cannot guarantee availability.

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will not enter an occupied home under any circumstances that they have not previously been made aware of, nor will they allow entry to any person they have not been made aware of. The police will be called on all intruders or suspicious acts without exception.
​
The client agrees to properly secure the home prior to leaving the premises. Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will re-secure the home to the best of its ability at the end of each visit.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy is not liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary or other crime that should occur while under this contract.
​
Pet Care
​
The client represents and warrants that pet(s) are currently vaccinated and licensed in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Should the Pet Carrier or a third party be bitten or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from the client’s animal which has not been properly and currently vaccinated, the client agrees to pay all costs and damages incurred by the victim(s).

Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will follow the directions of the Veterinary Release Form in the case a pet should become injured or sick.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet which the client has let outside or has instructed Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy to allow outside while the Pet Carrier is not there. This includes pets with doggie doors and outdoor pets.
​
Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy does not allow dogs to be walked off-leash.
​
In the case of an emergency, inclement weather, or a natural disaster, the client authorizes Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy to use reasonable judgment for the care and well-being of the client’s pet(s) and residence. Mars Saves Dogs Obedience Academy will make reasonable efforts to maintain service during these conditions but reserves the right to adjust the schedule of service based on the sole discretion of the Pet Carrier.
